Well owner
For the well owner
One 260-foot drilled well behind the house. The sediment cartridge swap every 90 days on a calendar line, the UV sterilizer lamp and the spring water test and the pressure-tank precharge check at Kettle Creek Well & Pump on their own calendar lines. Tell Muse in ChatGPT what was done; there is no day-to-day owner app to click. The board does the arithmetic.
One well on the board. Sediment cartridge swap in the housing next to the Well-X-Trol every 90 days, on a calendar line. UV sterilizer lamp replacement every 12 months, on its own calendar line. The spring bacteria and nitrate water test and the pressure-tank precharge check at Kettle Creek Well & Pump every 12 months, on their own calendar lines. That is the whole list, and it lives on one due board.
You know the last cartridge. The sediment filter came out of its housing on August 20, 2026. Valve closed, pressure relieved, new cartridge in, cold tap run until the water cleared. Say that date to Muse once and the row is written. Ninety days from August 20 is November 18, 2026, and the board counts the leftover days on the calendar: 44 days left as of October 5. The cartridge is a hardware-store part, so the row costs little to keep. The UV lamp is on the board too: the last lamp went into the sterilizer on November 2, 2025, and twelve months puts the next one at November 2, 2026, with 28 days left as of October 5.
You know the shop visit too. Kettle Creek Well & Pump pulled the bacteria samples (total coliform and E. coli) plus the nitrate sample, and checked the pressure-tank air precharge on April 14, 2026, and the invoice said $165. Say that date once and both annual rows are written, next due April 14, 2027, with 191 days left as of October 5. Book it before the spring thaw and the kitchen tap runs on tested water.
Before the lamp date, ask Muse what's due on the well. The cartridge swap comes back with November 18, 2026 and the 44 days left. The UV lamp comes back with November 2, 2026 and the 28 days left. The water test and the precharge check come back with April 14, 2027 and the 191 days left. The board subtracts on the calendar and names what is left, and no row sits in the due path. You did all of it in the chat you already have open. There is no day-to-day owner app to click.
The calendar lines keep their dates. The cartridge swap is every 90 days: valve closed, housing cracked open, cartridge swapped, tap run clear. It is a job you do at the tank, not a job for the shop. The busy month with the houseguests does not slide November 18. The UV lamp is every 12 months: sterilizer powered down, old lamp out, new lamp in without touching the glass, the lamp counter reset. Clear water does not push November 2. The water test is every 12 months, each spring: total coliform and E. coli plus nitrate, sampled at the kitchen tap. The precharge check is every 12 months: pump breaker off, tank drained, air precharge set 2 psi under the 40 psi cut-in, so 38 psi on the tire gauge. A late tick is logged when it happened; the cadence does not move. These are the cadences you told Muse, not spec-sheet promises.
The well gets the storm habit too. After a power outage, the tank has drawn down, so let the pump refill it and run a cold tap until the water runs clear before you trust the first glass. After a flood, or after any work at the well cap, test the water again, because bacteria move in when surface water does. Fold the walk-past into the cartridge visit. The board keeps the calendar lines, and the habit keeps the water honest between them.
Your shop preference is one ask too. Say it once: Always Kettle Creek Well & Pump on the well. Muse writes it, and the next sampling visit starts there without you naming the shop again.
The board can call ChatGPT too. Subscribe once and ChatGPT hears when a logged tick puts the cartridge swap or the annual test on the board, in a signed webhook naming the job and how late. You did not have to ask first.
The day the house sells, say it once: sold. Muse archives the well and the due board drops it that day. Every cartridge row and test row you logged stays in the history, handy to hand the buyer the service record. If the deal falls through, one ask puts it back on the board.
The house log on /home-maintenance-checklist shows how calendar rows look. Copy the prompt on /for-your-agent and paste it into Muse. Free.
